This is a complete set of six original hand painted plates from the "Wedgwood Sporting Dog Plates Series" by Marguerite Kirmse
To the front of each plate is a superb hand painted colour illustration of an English Setter, Golden Retriever, Pointer, Brittany Spaniel, English Springer Spaniel and Wire Haired Pointing Griffon, with gold trim to the outside rim of each plate.
To the rear of each plate in gold is written "Wedgwood Bone China Made In England, Sporting Dog Plates Hand Painted From The Original Etchings By Marguerite Kirmse and the name of the breed of the dog, Produced In A Limited Edition Of 200 Sets"
Each plate measures approx. 10.75" diameter and is in superb clean condition with no damage or marks of any sort
Produced in a special limited edition of 200 sets only this extremely rare complete set comes with it's original fitted hinged Wedgwood box, each plate also has it's original fitted dust bag, also included is the original colour illustrated brochure for the set, and also the original Wedgwood Certificate of Authenticity which states that this is set 129 from a limited edition of 200 only.
