The CST/berger Magna-Trak 202 magnetic locator (Part #: CST-19-202SC) detects magnetic fields emitted by underground ferrous and ferromagnetic objects.  Ferrous objects contain iron while ferromagnetic objects contain iron, cobalt, or nickel. On the LCD display, users visualize a peak response and they hear an audio signal through the speaker. Both of these signals let you know when your Magna-Trak magnetic locator has located an object within a 20-inch depth. Made of aluminum and plastic, this waterproof magnetic locator is built for detecting objects in rain or snow. With an erase function, power line indication, and adjustable sensitivity, the MT202 serves as an asset to any ferromagnetic locating job. And the MT202’s carrying case protects it as you travel from one job site to the next.
Precise Magnetic Location
The CST/berger MT202 detects only ferromagnetic objects. This means you do not have to worry about erroneous objects affecting your location accuracy which can occur with aluminum, brass, or copper objects.
Clear Visual and Audio Recognition
When the Magna-Trak 202 locates an object, it displays a digital number as well as a bar graph on the LCD display. A higher number and a wider graph indicate a stronger signal. The CST/berger MT202 also produces an audio signal that can be adjusted at any time.

The MT202’s ergonomic handle makes it easy to manage its functions with the push of a button. This keypad includes a power button, two buttons to increase or decrease sensitivity, and two buttons to increase or decrease the audio alert volume. And you can monitor your battery life and the presence of power lines right on the display.
