Is this reel for saltwater ?
Answer:
It is fine to use in saltwater. Clean it with fresh water after use and take it apart for cleaning and oiling every few trips. It comes apart very easily with no tools.

Does the spool make noise when cast?
Answer:
All bait casting reels with metal gears and parts can be a bit noisy. It doesn't affect the performance at all. If needed, turn the reel upside down and put a drop of oil on the worm gear and make sure the reel and its parts are clean and lubricated.
