Gene "Stick" Michael autographed Official American League Baseball! COA!
Gene Michael played shortstop with the NY Yankees from 1968-1974, however his most important roles were soon to come. Michael became a tremendous force as a Baseball Scout but first he was hired as Manager of the Yankees in '80 & '81 until he had enough of George Steinbrenner and asked to be fired...which he was!
He returned as GM of the Yankees in 1990. During his tenure he was responsible for hiring the players, known as the "Core 4", Jeter, Rivera, Posada and Andy Pettitte. He also added Bernie Williams & Paul O'Neill!!!
He remained in the Yankees front office as VP and Advisor until he died in 2017.
