Description
TheSXblue Premier GNSS
receiver is the latest in small form factor, high precision SBAS and RTK solutions from the folks at Geneq. This receiver uses the Pacific Crest Maxwell 6, 220 channel GNSS, multi-frequency, multi-constellation board. This technology makes effective use of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS and SBAS signals for outstanding coverage and highly precise positioning. It comes in 2 flavors as an L1 GNSS receiver and the more popular L1-L2-L5 GNSS RTK solution for Android and Windows platforms. With its 10 cm × 10 cm × 3.5 cm size, lightweight, compact and rugged design, it’s the most cost-effective GNSS RTK receiver on the market. To take it one step further it can also be used as a static GNSS, using internal storage collect RAW data that can be post-processed later using services like
OPUS
. The Premier is equipped with dual-mode for Bluetooth V2.1 and Bluetooth V4.0 ensuring the unit’s wireless communication with your BYOD data collector.
Premier L1 GNSS can achieve ~40cm. using SBAS
Premier RTK corrections from a nearby base reference station, can achieve 1cm., BUT….
Premier RTK using SBAS shows consistent accuracies at and below 30cm.! That’s sub-foot folks, no internet needed. (
as shown in screen shot image using SBAS corrections not RTK
)
The Need for Better Real-Time Accuracy:
In todays market, we see the trend of pushing away from Post Processing while still achieving the same post-processed accuracy. Users recognize the need for real-time accuracy in the field, not having it remain in the office on a computer. Even in difficult environments (Urban and Forestry) where satellite reception is limited, a great advantage in all SXBlue receivers is to use one or several constellations that comprise GNSS like GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo, QZSS, and utilize corrections from SBAS or RTK to deliver the best real-time accuracy everyday in the field.
The Advantage of Bluetooth GNSS:
Because the SXBlue Series do not have a built-in computer, it cannot become obsolete. On one project, connect it to your smartphone. On the next project, connect it to your tablet computer. Android? Windows? The SXBlue Premier does not care which operating system your mobile device uses, it just keeps delivering the best accuracy, from the designated correction source (SBAS or RTK).
A5 Platform, Web server UI
With its embedded Linux operating system, the Premier receiver is no longer a simple and compact RTK receiver, it is now a fully intelligent operating system with a web UI management platform. The smart internal web UI management platform allows users to monitor the receiver’s working status and configure the equipment using a WIFI or USB connection to any smartphone or tablet (iOS compatible with web interface only).
A Long Term Solution:
The
SXBlue Premier
maximizes your productivity and ROI (return on investment) because its an accessory or attachment to your BYOD platform and application of “your” choosing. You, the end-user, are in control of these modular technologies and update or upgrade them as you deem it necessary. The user can choose from Android or Windows-based devices to drive their application for data collection and measurements. Examples of those applications driving this new trend are
