SX 4.5 bindings are basically a revamped version of the tried and true SL 45. They are a very safe and durable binding that is designed to last years. They are more of a matte finish so they will look fresh even after they take a beating. The din range goes from .75 to 4.5 which means this binding is ideal for any younger skier with a boot size 23.0 and under.
Automatic adjustment or a tab under the toe of the binding makes this adjustment, and your local ski technician can take the 15 seconds to show you.
ABS A rollable toe pad enabling no friction release for perfect release regardless of boot wear, icing up or dirt.

A protective seal on the binding to help reduce wear for looks and performance.
The parts of the binding that need to be metal are made of steel, but the majority of the binding is a superdense, superlight plastic composite material. This gives the binding the ruggedness of a more metallic binding, without all the added weight.
It looks slick, but more importantly, allows up to 30% greater retention force without compromising safety. There are 4 rollers at the toe that remain flexible (spring loaded) at all times to keep the boot centered and to absorb sharp impacts.
This binding is a fantastic choice for almost any child skier. Unless your kid is a racing prodigy (look at free flex binding) or budding freestyle star (mojo binding), this SX 4.5 is the superlight binding to match your child's lightweight ski. You do not want to go for a heavy binding on a light ski, it just makes things harder on the little skier.
